Working in the capacity as Creative Leader and Head of Interior Design for Scentre Group and Westfield Centres we designed a new dining precinct on the bottom level of an existing three story carpark. This included a number of cafes and restaurants, a small kids play activation and local artist were engaged to create locally inspired Public Art.

The existing concrete carpark stair was clad in metal that was perforated with a design from a local indigenous artist creating a central feature that can be illuminated at night. The carpark was clad with bricks and landscape and planting was designed to soften the facade and the human plane.

The result is an authentic, dynamic and vibrant dining precinct adjacent to an existing mall and activating a one neglected street creating an enriching place for the local community to eat, play, gather and dwell.
